It has a 7-wire copper inner conductor (which carries the electrical signal), which is surrounded by an insulating layer typically made of solid low-density polyethylene (PE).<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cable comprises an insulation layer surrounded by the shielding layer made of copper braid \u2013 a combination of bonded aluminum foil and copper braid. The shields form an outer conductor and also provide a shield against electromagnetic interference. Finally, the structure is covered with an outermost layer called a jacket made of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).
